319. If the House proposes a joint committee, the message shall state the names of the Members to be appointed.

2000 Precedent1. Message received from the Legislative Council that it had agreed to the appointment of a Joint Committee on Children and Young People with certain named Legislative Council Members, and requesting that the Assembly pass a similar resolution appointing Assembly Members. On the motion of the Leader of the House, by leave, 6 named Members were appointed to serve on the Committee, and a message was sent to the Legislative Council acquainting it of the House’s resolution. Message received from the Legislative Council that it had agreed to a resolution that, in accordance with section 146 of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal Act , the Committee on the Office of the Ombudsman and Police Integrity Commission, as an existing joint committee, inquire into and report on the jurisdiction and operation of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal as required under the Act, and asking the Legislative Assembly to pass a similar resolution.
