Parliament of New South Wales, Macquarie Street, Sydney.
We talk (and grumble) about Parliament, but how much do we really know about it? And how do we access the system? Accept our invitation to the State Parliament of New South Wales. Tour this heritage building, meet Members, watch both houses in session, learn more about its history and how the system works.
Program (5:00pm – 7:00pm)
- Welcome and Introduction
- Talk on the role of Parliament and how it works
- Discussion Panel with Members of Parliament
- Viewing of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council Chambers
Arrival and Registration from 4:45pm
Parliament House is in Macquarie Street, almost opposite Martin Place. Public transport is recommended as parking at the Parliament is not available. The nearest train stations are Martin Place and St James. Participants should enter Parliament via Macquarie Street and make their way to the Legislative Assembly reception desk.
The program is conducted by the Education Section of the Parliament of NSW.
